Daezerae is a passionate creative director and business owner with a love for storytelling. Inspired by her grandmother’s humanitarianism and giving spirit, she wanted to do the same and create a space for the BIPOC community to thrive in Winnipeg. While not an immigrant herself, she felt the struggle that her parents went through to be seen as more than just a token hire. Today, Daezerae works on empowering her community through photography and encouraging people to show up for themselves.
Star is an innovator and inclusion advocate at her core. Being born in the Philippines, and immigrating with her family first to Winnipeg, she fell in love with the diversity and supportive culture of Canada. However, she also faced the challenges of being different, whether by learning the new language or overcoming her social anxiety. Her hope is to encourage others to become confident in speaking up and celebrating their unique identities. As a software development student, she aims to be part of the solution of integrating technology as an advancement to human collaboration and mutual success.
